Supporting your professional development
AILA is piloting a new Continuing Professional Development format in 2020. This format will support the existing events that our members know and love. LATITUDE is a selection of courses that help Landscape Architects stay up to date with policy changes, the latest trends and maintain requirements for registration. Programs will be added through the year and updates are available at /nswevents
LATITUDE workshops and courses are targeted at both members and non-members, as well as allied professionals working in related fields.
Delivering on the AILA CPD Framework
Landscape Architects are critical in shaping towns, cities and regions across Australia. While this new format is in a phase of piloting, the longer-term intention is that we will offer courses across Australia to support landscape architects with learning and development opportunities that align with the AILA CPD Framework Topics:
• Design and Methods
• Professional Practice and Ethics
• History and Theory
• Technology and Construction
• Communication and Collaboration
LATITUDE presenters are subject matter experts who are skilled in facilitating training and providing a positive learning experience to improve your knowledge.
CPD for Registered Landscape Architects
AILA’s CPD program keeps landscape architects and landscape professionals up to date with the right knowledge and skills. CPD is a self-directed and planned program, allowing you to take charge of your learning and professional needs, to broaden knowledge, acquire new skills and fulfill career aspirations.
Registered Landscape Architects are required to achieve 30 CPD points annually to maintain registration.
Each hour of the LATITUDE Program equates to two CPD points.
Latitude bookings and payment should be made online via the AILA website. Course numbers are strictly limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
If you cannot attend a session that you have registered for you will receive a full refund less a $25 administration fee with 14 days prior notice. Registrations can be transferred to another person provided we have at least 48 hours notice. Requests to transfer a registration should be made in writing to the relevant Chapter Manager.
Full-time students (with evidence) who wish to attend a program will be charged 50% of the scheduled fee. Please contact the chapter manager to arrange your registration. Note that student places for each workshop will be restricted to two places.
We cannot issue refunds or credits if you do not attend the course you have registered for.
