Truly Multi-Generational Public Spaces

The worldwide number of people over sixty years of age is growing at a faster pace than that of any other age group. At current rate, by 2050, there will for the first time in human history be more people (two billion) over sixty years of age than people younger than fourteen.

At the same time it has been found that a whopping 80% of the elderly’s ailments ease or disappear with a thirty minute daily exercise that takes place outdoors and in company of others. So what can we do to cater for this increasingly important public space user group?

During this first series of We Invite Mankind Outdoors podcasts, Lappset Australia will provide insights into why senior’s exercise matters and how it can work outdoors in various public spaces.
