The webinar will feature Carina Green, City of Adelaide speaking on the Market to Riverbank link project.  The upgrade of the city's key streets created an exciting and vibrant connection between the Adelaide Central Market and Adelaide Riverbank. In this project, designers wanted to achieve a picturesque route for pedestrians and cyclists through paved footpaths, tree canopies and public art. Designers engaged an artist to develop a design inspired by the natural pattern shapes of geode mineral deposits, an acknowledgement to the evolution of the local geology of the region.

In her presentation Carina will cover: 
- Key principles in creating a flush street environment
- Integrating narrative and function
- Customisation, prototyping and refinement
- Outcome and result

Following the case study by City of Adelaide, ACO will cover all of the essential considerations for selecting a surface water drainage system.  Greg Facey from ACO will explore traditional and modern systems that deal with the removal of surface water and examine why design life costs, safety, and efficiency are best used as key performance indicators.

This presentation gives clear and structured guidelines on early planning decisions and selection for effective stormwater surface runoff removal whilst addressing key client and stakeholder considerations.
