The ABC of Trench Drainage, presented by ACO Australia

Webinar presented by Glen Power, Urbis and Greg Facey, ACO Australia

This webinar will feature Glen Power, Director of Design at Urbis speaking on the award winning Rockhampton Riverside Precinct.

Urbis worked with Rockhampton Regional Council on the redevelopment of the Riverside Precinct, a world-class waterfront area on the shores of Queensland’s Fitzroy River. The design incorporates playground areas, river lookouts, shaded walkways and gathering spaces. A streetscape along iconic Quay Street integrates the city’s edge with the riverbank parklands.

Following the case study presented by Glen Power, ACO will cover all of the essential considerations for integrating a surface water management system.

Greg Facey from ACO will explore traditional and modern systems that deal with the removal of surface water and examine why design life costs, safety, and efficiency are best used as key performance indicators.

This presentation gives clear and structured guidelines on early planning decisions and selection for effective stormwater runoff removal whilst addressing key client and stakeholder considerations such as

  • slot criteria including the new Standard relating to wheelchair and walking cane safety
  • slip resistance
  • loading and durability
  • access for maintenance
