QFresh Friday with 8LA - Landscape Architecture

Our Fresh Friday series is coming to the Gold Coast! QFresh is very excited to extend our studio networking down the coast, being hosted by the team at 8LA.

Fresh Friday’s are an opportunity for students and graduates to check out a studio space, meet new practitioners, learn about day to day practice, and network with their peers.

There will be food and drink provided on the night, along with good vibes and conversation.

Gerard McCormick, Director, 8LA

Gerard co-founded 8LA Landscape Architecture in 2019 as a new challenge after enjoying 25 years in both publicly listed and eclectic private consultancy. He is a fellow of AILA and has interests in contextual appropriateness, community, active travel, surfing and homebrew. He established not for profit group Village Bike in 2013. This community workshop based at Burleigh promotes active travel, encourages the repair and repurposing of bikes, is focussed on positive mental health of members and has exhibited 7 times in the SWELL Sculpture Festival.
