You are invited to hit the streets with us for a 45-minute walking tour through the iconic and evolving Surfers Paradise tourist precinct.
AILA GOLD joins forces with PIA to deliver the popular 'hit the streets' walking tour for one last supercharged stroll as we see out 2021.
Taking around 45-minutes, the tour will delve into the history and development of Surfers Paradise into the Gold Coast's iconic tourist precinct.
With both recent and planned revitalization projects on the go in and around the precinct, the walking tour offers participants the chance to learn and experience Surfers Paradise via a critical urban design lens.
Through the aid of our presenters and their expert planning and design backgrounds, Andrew Comer (Director - Place Design Group), Gerard McCormick (Director - 8LA) and Steve Morton (Director - Zone Planning Group) will offer their personal experiences in working on key elements that have contributed to the precinct form into what it is today.
The format offers a casual and informal setting that encourages discussion and the sharing of ideas from the first-hand experience. Whilst as always, we will conclude the walking tour by providing ample opportunities to refuel and network at the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club.
