Shaun Walsh, FAILA
Shaun Walsh, FAILA is a landscape architect and environmental planner. He is former longstanding director with AILA, as well as former CEO of City Parklands including South Bank Parklands and Roma Street Parklands. Shaun is now practising as a sole trader landscape architect and has been working with Noosa Council on their urban greening program: raising consideration for their climate change readiness . Shaun has been convening the Parks Forum for over 10 years and seeks to conjure provocative and informative discussions on quality management for our wonderful open spaces.
Jarrod Hill, CEO & Director Sporteng
As one of Australia's leading Field of Play designers, Jarrod blends his Civil Engineering profession with his extensive knowledge for the development of sport and recreation facilities to ensure client and stakeholder desires are met. Well known for his accomplishments in the planning and development of Fields of Play, Jarrod's experience includes athletics running tracks, hockey fields, football grounds (all codes) and general-purpose facilities. Jarrod's credentials are based on knowledge of specialist engineering applications and a detailed understanding or athlete and venue owner requirements. This proficiency has seen Jarrod work on most major sport projects throughout Australia in recent years.
Shayan Barmand | Project Coordinator – Climate Change Adaptation I Noosa Council
Shayan is a climate and sustainability specialist with a decade of experience working in the US, Qatar, South Africa and Australia. Originally from San Francisco, Shayan worked with the United Nations Association while completing a degree in the field of International Relations and Political Science. Shayan continued to help with United Nations' global reports and initiatives while studying global change science, climate change and sustainable development in South Africa. Shayan has worked on projects with the Qatar’s Ministry of Environment, the United Nations Environment Program, the FIFA World Cup 2022 Committee and the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa to integrate sustainability policies into development planning. Shayan is currently coordinating the climate change adaptation program at Noosa Council, focusing on building resilience and adaptive capacity for both people and nature.
