Join our guest speaker Ken Long - ASBN Chairperson and Regional Sustainability Manager (Lendlease Vic & SA) for a lunch time CPD session.
As public and private development and infrastructure overlay ‘Net Zero’ ambitions, the built environment sector will increasingly need to design and construct projects which are low carbon, but will also be required to report impacts of Scope 1 (direct emissions, fossil fuel use), 2 (indirect emissions, i.e Electricity) & 3 emissions (supply chain emissions, i.e material embodied carbon).
Landscape Architects are often involved in delivering complex and technical designs /construction projects that are very carbon and finite-resource intensive. In this session, Ken will highlight how carbon emission impacts have begun driving decision making across the project life and how landscape architects and built environment professionals can all work towards decarbonising our industry.
Chris Francis - SA Landscaping State Manager at Ecodynamics will set the scene for this event and share the Ecodynamics mission and values, and the association with landscaping, biodiversity and design.
