NSW Elara Riparian Parklands Tour -SOLD OUT

Join AILA NSW for a tour of the Elara Riparian Parklands with Paterson Design Studio and Andreasens Green. The delivery of this major human and habitat asset is the result of years of intensive, creative, open collaboration between PDS, Stockland and all the project’s key collaborative partners.

The 24 hectare Elara Riparian Parklands located within Stockland’s new Elara Development at Marsden Park – a planned community accommodating over 25,000 residents – represents one of the largest reconstructed riparian environments in North West Sydney’s history. 

The delivery of this major human and habitat asset is the result of years of intensive, creative, open collaboration between PDS, Stockland and all the project’s key collaborative partners. 

The result is a vast new landscape comprising of over 17 hectares of riparian vegetation and stream stabilisation works with in excess of 5 hectares of public amenity parklands. 

The tour will be led by Garth Paterson of Paterson Design Studio and Darren Mason of Andreasens Green.

The tour will begin at 10am at the Parklands and conclude at 12pm. A light lunch will be provided after the tour. We look forward to seeing you there!

Garth Paterson

Garth Paterson is a registered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer and with over thirty years’ experience throughout Australia and the United States. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and a Master’s in Urban Design. During the past fifteen years he has led internal developer and consultant teams in the development of many of Australia’s largest Master Planned Communities. His principle role has been to guide the development process to achieve the best longterm, sustainable outcomes for the residents and wider community by creating an open space and public realm legacy that thrives after the developer exit a site / project. In 2000 he was awarded the Lifetime award of Distinguished Alumni for his contribution to the profession of Landscape Architecture and the education of students from The University of Canberra and in 2011 he was elected a Life Member of the Australia Institute of Landscape Architects as a Fellow.


Darren Mason

Darren Mason has been with the Andreasens Green family for 37 years, and through his time he has taken on a number of different roles he is now the Sales Director. Darren’s goal and vision for the horticultural industry – is to ‘Create Great Landscapes’ and continues to maintain this commitment and his strong principles in striving to ensure we provide and supply quality plants and customer service.
