Professor Jeff Hou, Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington

Professor Jeff Hou's teaching, research and practice focusses on community design, design activism and the engagement of marginalised communities through planning and design. Jeff has worked across the spectrum of communities, from indigenous tribes of Taiwan, China and Japan, through to inner city immigrant communities in North American Cities. As the author of Messy Urbanism: Understanding the 'Other' cities of Asia' Jeff is well placed to frame future urban challenges within the Asia Pacific region.
