Creative Directors

Cameron Bruhn

Cameron is the editorial director of Architecture Media, Australia’s leading publisher for the architecture and design community. Prior to his appointment as editorial director, Cameron was the editor of Architecture Media publications Artichoke and Landscape Architecture Australia. 

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Queensland and is undertaking a practice-based PhD at RMIT University. Cameron is an active contributor to design culture through writing, editing and publishing and his participation in awards juries, sessional teaching and guest speaking.


Claire Martin

Claire Martin is a Registered Landscape Architect and Senior Associate with the Melbourne studio of OCULUS, and a regular contributor to Landscape Architecture Australia. She is passionate about evidence based research and education and has taught design in the RMIT University School of Architecture & Design, where she is a member of the Landscape Architecture Program Advisory Committee, and invited critic. Claire was the recipient of the 2011 Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture's Jim Sinatra National Future Leaders Award.

Ricky Ricardo

Ricky is a graduate landscape architect and assistant editor of Landscape Architecture Australia magazine. Prior to his role at LAA, Ricky worked for the international landscape architecture and urban design magazine Topos in Germany. 

Ricky holds a Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture from RMIT University, where he has since been an invited studio critic. In 2011 he was an editor of the Paradigms of Nature: Post Natural Futures issue of Kerb Journal, which was exhibited around the world as part of the Archizines travelling exhibition.

 


 

Expressions of Interest for 2016 International Festival of Landscape Architecture

 

AILA is seeking expressions of interest from individuals, practices, schools of landscape architecture, or collaborative teams to take on the role of Creative Director for the 2016 International Festival of Landscape Architecture. The successful Creative Director’s submission will be globally relevant and forward-looking. Expression of interest submissions must be received by 5.00pm AEST Monday 27 July 2015.

The 2016 International Festival of Landscape Architecture will be held in Canberra ACT from the 26 – 30 October 2016.

As a result of a competitive bid process, AILA has won the rights to host the 2016 International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) Asia-Pacific Regional Conference. We are seeking Creative Directors to develop the content and theme for this international event.
