When it comes to lighting sensitive areas such as those inhabited by wildlife, it takes a specialist team and the right technology to produce an outcome that is effective, visually stunning and causes minimum harm to human and animal visitors alike.
Attendees will be taken on a journey to hear more about the exemplar Penguin Parade project at Philip Island in Victoria.
Key learning outcomes will include:
1. exploring key environmental considerations at the conceptual stage of projects
2. design processes and technical solutions for exterior lighting
3. design standards required for exterior lighting
4. technical details on the difference between Amber filter Vs. Amber & PC Amber LED, looking at how PC Amber technology can be used to protect ecosystems
5. design approaches and challenges involved in lighting sensitive areas with a focus on the Penguin Parade project
