One Day Events + National Awards

Register for a range of events on offer in Melbourne this October including the National Landscape Architecture Awards, Respecting Country and the Innovation Symposium.

 

This year's AILA National Landscape Architecture Awards will be held conjunction with two full day events hosted by AILA and AILA Victoria on the 24 and 25 October.  Held over three days, the lineup of events bring together a range of opportunities for learning, networking and celebration.

Reimagining Birrarung: Design Concepts for 2070

AILA invites you to a discussion with NGV, Birrarung Council and the design teams that invites us as a profession to explore this model of change and how landscape architectural practice, government institutions, legislation and community-driven governance can intersect to achieve transformative outcomes.

Respecting Country

Thursday 24 October 2024 | 8:45am - 5:30pm 
The Terrace, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne

Respecting Country is a one-day symposium led by AILA VIC's Connection to Country committee members that brings Landscape Architects, Architects and Planners together with their clients to listen and directly engage with a First Nations panel, some of who are leading voices in community and design. This unique event is an opportunity to bring clients together with practitioners into direct conversations with First Nations people to deepen their understandings beyond project outcomes.

National Landscape Architecture Awards

Innovation Symposium: Embracing Change 

Friday 25 October 2024 | 8:30am - 5:30pm
The Glasshouse, Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne

Embracing Change is a symposium focused on creating a robust dialogue about what it means to innovate in the Australian landscape architecture profession. Perspectives from small to large organisations lend insights about the strategies, courage and hard work of paving new ways in the market through leadership, technology and design.  Participants of the Innovation Symposium will also be invited to a social function to start the day, a walk/run around the famous Tan, followed by a light breakfast before the start of the Symposium.

Ticket payment information

  • All transactions are in AU$ and include GST
  • To access the AILA Member rates including Student Member and Graduate Member pricing, membership must be current.  If you have questions regarding your membership status email [email protected] 
  • Bundle tickets are not transferrable and only linked to one person attending the events included in the ticket type.
  • Payment must be made at the end of the registration process by credit card or contact AILA for a group booking invoice.
  • Payment for all event registrations and asssociated payments must be paid by 10 October 2024

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or changes to a registration must be made in writing to [email protected]

No refunds will be issued after 10 October 2024.  'No Shows' will still be charged the full fee paid. After the 10 October, your registration may be transferred to another person by emailing [email protected].

For Innovation Symposium registrants.  Join us for a pre-Innovation Symposium social event as attendees are invited to have a run or walk around the iconic Melbourne Tan.  This soft surface, 3.8km track is around Melbourne's Botanical Gardens.  Attendees can then refresh back at the Symposium venue and enjoy a light breakfast, thanks to National Partner Trailworx.
