SHOP TALK
AILA Victoria is delighted to launch "Shop Talk”, a new regular get together for Victorian landscape architects, friends, and peers to share projects, stories, lessons-learned and big ideas.
Join us this April at Bar Clara in the CBD to kick off the series!
We'll hear from Jenny Tin, the National Winner of the 2023 Landscape Architecture Australia Student Prize, who will give a short presentation about her winning project: Towards Reconciliation: Decolonizing Design in Melbourne’s Contemporary Cultural Plaza with an intro by Emily Wong, Editor, Landscape Architecture Australia.

JENNY TIN
Jenny Tin is a recent graduate with a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Melbourne. Formerly a graphic designer in Sydney and Hong Kong, she is passionate about crafting beautiful and joyful spaces for both humans and non-humans through a creative lens.
EMILY WONG
Emily Wong is a landscape architect, design researcher and editor of Landscape Architecture Australia magazine. In addition to landscape architecture, she has a background in journalism, art history and law. She has written for a variety of art and design publications, including ArchitectureAU, Artichoke, Houses and Landscape Architecture Australia, and has taught landscape architecture studios and seminars at RMIT University, Deakin University and The University of Melbourne. She is currently a PhD candidate at RMIT University researching new strategies for design curation.
Venue: Bar Clara supports tree planting initiatives and have partnered with the Koala Clancy Foundation to pay for over 600 native trees. They also volunteered to help plant them at a site an hour west of Melbourne.
