Now that the school holidays have ended, 2023 has started to gain momentum. Including the work of the NSW State Chapter executives. We had a productive executive meeting a few weeks ago to prepare the organisational plan for the year. We look forward to sharing with you the engaging and exciting events being planned to support your on going learning and our ongoing advocacy for the profession… watch this space.

Don’t forget to jump into Memberscape and check out the posts from other AILA members across the country, it’s a great way to share knowledge and information as well as learn how to be more involved with some of the work AILA is doing.
On behalf of AILA NSW, Tessa Faucheur, Tanya Wood and Jason Cuffe attended the Affordable Housing Roundtable. This event included colleagues from AIA, PIA, Engineers Australia as well as the Minister Rob Stokes, Labor’s Paul Scully shadow planning minister and Rose Jackson, shadow minister for water, housing and homelessness; Cate Faehrmann from the Greens legislative council in NSW. In front of this huge audience, Jason gave a polished presentation that spoke to the importance of landscape led approach to housing developments.
We hope that you have been busy preparing your 2023 award submissions, don’t forget they have to be in by March 15th. We are looking forward to celebrating the fabulous work of our members.

The AILA NSW Election Manifesto is being finalised by the AILA NSW Advocacy Committee and Executive and it will be shared via an EDM next week. There will be a cover letter template included as well, should you like to contact your local member.
