AILA 2022 University Accreditation Reviews – Seeking your assistance

AILA is seeking academics, practitioners and students to assist with the 2022 university accreditation reviews.

 Review dates:

  • University of Western Australia (UWA): 18-20 May
  • Deakin University: 19-21 July
  • University of Melbourne (UoM): 16-18 August
  • University of New South Wales (UNSW): 26 – 28 September.

How is a review completed?

The reviews are undertaken by AILA’s National Accreditation Review Team (NART). Each University is assigned an individual NART, comprising five NART members - 2 x LA academics, 2 x LA practitioners and 1 x LA student.

The NART assesses a LA Program against seven AILA accreditation standards.

Each review is conducted virtually, held across 3 days, with appropriate breaks during the day to minimise virtual meeting fatigue:

  • Day 1: 12.30pm – 6.00pm AEST
  • Day 2: 10.00am – 6.00pm AEST
  • Day 3: 10.00am – 2.30pm AEST.

Prior to a review, AILA meets with the NART to discuss the process, answer questions, and assign tasks.

  • Practicing Landscape Architects with a first-professional degree in Landscape Architecture, and do not have a COI with the university under review
