There is so much going on for AILA and it’s too much for just one newsletter, so I will have a short update with more exciting news next week! Check out all the links below, as there is something for everyone to get around and be a part of.
Brisbane City Council have launched Inner Spark to the public. This allows anyone to vote on the ‘big ideas’ that AILA members and our industry partners have previously submitted as well as opening up the opportunity for further ideas to be put forward. There are some amazing ideas that could change the paradigm for legacy and community. An overwhelming number of ideas prioritise walkability, shade and green infrastructure which is a credit to those that submitted and to the changing expectations we have for our city to be comfortable, beautiful and responsive to our climate. If you do anything this week, vote in support of your favourite idea! Stay tuned for an upcoming event with PIA, AIA and EA around this too.
The launch of the AILA Festival ‘COUNTRY’ is imminent. So watch your inbox for the release of tickets and I would suggest getting in quick! I for one, am eager to see the program, but most of all I am looking forward to catching up with my peers and being inspired by all the speakers and my colleagues alike.
It’s a very exciting time for AILA Qld and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
