News from AILA Victoria Chapter 22 March 2023

Lovely VIC Members,

As I write this news, I am preparing to celebrate Nowruz, the Persian New Year! This is well explained by Mickey, click here to view and for more information.

Nowruz has been celebrated for over 3,000 years as a symbol of spring's victory over darkness. As we celebrate, Let’s wish this new year will bring victory for the Women of Iran and #womanlifefreedom revolution to inspire and support all the women fighting for their freedom!

Also, during the last couple of weeks, as I celebrated International Women's Day and listened to all the inspiring women, I became hopeful that together we can create a better future for all by empowering the women around us and promoting diversity in landscape architecture and beyond.

Over the past few months, our Vic Chapter team has collaborated with AILA National on new ideas and initiatives to benefit our profession and the communities we serve. Stay tuned for more updates!!!

The AILA Vic Executive team quickly caught up with the amazing Landscape Foundation of Australia team. Check out their website and support them in any way you can!

AILA Vic Awards entries closed last week; impressive entry numbers for the 2023 Awards program; looking forward to seeing all the amazing works and celebrating with you at the Awards Presentation on Friday 14th of July!

As always, we encourage you to stay connected, AILA is us, and together, we are stronger.
